Unlock your Wii Anybody ?

I was so pleased when this worked straight up an with no hassle and no apparent risk. I spent about 20 mins unlocking it and now i can play dvds backup games homebrew stuff. The movie thing is great i can stick movies on a usb stick or usb harddrive. All for free. My Wii is ver 4.3. I even found a linux program that will run like a pc and use the wiimote for the mouse ..

So just thought i'd share :bannana:

Did mine a while back, apparently it's even easier now as all the files download automatically and install themselves.

Having all the games on a HDD is the best feature, no more discs!

Careful with using DVDs on them, they are meant to effect the life of the laser.

Anyone have a Wii U? want to play some Black OpsII?

The lack of dvd replay and hd was one of my reason for changing to xbox 360 for my daughter never knew mod like this was available.

Interesting... I installed a WiiKey as soon as it came out... may desolder that and install the softmod; looks like it may do more!

It was by accident i found it. I looked into it a few years back but every guide then was telling me i should not have updated and i need the wiikey to solder in. Then at christmas i was looking for r4i card on zhuzhuchina when i saw a wiikey and while looking for info on that i fond that now i could install homebrew using only an sd card. It works great !
