Upgrade ML280 to ML320 with another ECU

Hello Guys,

I read a lot of topics here and whole Internet, I came to the point, that remapping of 280 to 320 by Vediamo/Monaco etc. is not possible, because ECU is blocking this. Maybe this is only possible, by opening ECU and flash with KTag or so on.

Now, maybe it´s possible to change the ECU from a 320cdi, take a used one. Did someone this successfully without change the ignition switch by married the "new used" ECU to the built-in ecus?

Only want to bring the car to stock 320 power with 224hp, not more.

You don't always have to open the ECU's, there is a newer form of bench which effectively does the same thing.

You can update a 280CDi to 320CDi with stock maps as long as you have the full ECU read. Not the partial OBD read.
