Valeo Radiators - Gearbox Failure

I've read the many posts on here about this problem, and believed that it is limited to certain models. I read yesterday's Motoring section in the Daily Telegraph which suggested 210s, 211s, 203s, 209s and generally all Mercs built between 2000-2004 with Valeo radiators are at risk with letters from 210 E owners with gearbox failures.

Should I be checking my 2000 E320CDI's radiator??

I thought it was just W203 and later e class, never looked at the other model as we only have the two cars!

Checked wifes car W203 easy to do look at rad end cap if its got little finger tabs bent over its the crap one if the whole edge is a wavey line weaving in and out of the rad cap its okay.
