Vibration at 37mph

Hi Everyone. I have a 2014 Vito van that has nearly done 250,000 miles that I bought from new. I have not had any problems with it until now. A vibration starts at 37 mph & stops at around 47 mph. It is quite severe with the whole van shaking. I have spent over £600 with a garage so far with various mountings changed but no fix. The wheels have all been balanced & swapped around but it is not a wheel wobble through the steering wheel as the vibration comes up from the floor. Any ideas anyone ?

What parts of the drive train have you investigated / ruled out?

Thanks for replying MikeInWimbledon. The UJ joint was replaced on the prop shaft as it was found to be worn, the rear differential mounting was also replaced & the front gear mounting replaced, both were worn. This has had no effect to the vibration

Was the vibration there before the universal joint was replaced.?
Fwiw I was told that my propshaft had been replaced on my little Vito (older model, 2007) shortly before I brought it at a bit over 150k miles. I was advised that it was replaced as a complete unit with central support bearing and everything because they "couldn't be properly reconditioned unlike most propshafts"
It sounded rather unlikely to me, but when I checked my entire propshaft was very obviously brand new compared to the rest of the underside components.
I seem to recall that they did say that it had been replaced "due to causing vibrations", but that is hearsay because I had not experienced it myself (and it was said by a used car salesman, so the proverbial pinch of salt always applies imho).

Hth.

Edit/
Have you checked the gearbox oil level ? -Fairly easily done, has to be worth a few min's just in case..

Hi. The first thing the garage replaced was the UJ. I'll check the gear box oil. The next thing to do I'm told, is to balance the prop shaft. I don't understand why it should go out of balance if the joints are ok. Thanks for the reply

Perhaps the shafts could have been rotated by 180* in relation to each other, whilst disconnected when the replacement universal joint was fitted.?

If the central U joint needed replacing, would that not suggest that the central support bearing would have experienced wear too? -And what about the other three U joints on the propshaft, wouldn't they also have a comparable level of wear to the failed item?
