Vito 639 2006 - whistling turbo?

Hi all,

In the past couple of days I've had a new noise coming from my Vito. I think it's turbo-related as it starts at 2,000rpm, but not when at standstill and only giving it gas. Turbo is working fine, just seems to be a new whistle/rasp kind of noise. What could it be? Also, the noise sounds more like it's at the rear of the van, but maybe that's just because it's an open panel van.

Anyway. Any ideas?

Thanks m80. Will look at it myself but most likely take it to the friendly local garage.

It seems to simply be the exhaust manifold and a loose clamp, so fingers crossed it's a cheap and simple fix. I couldn't hear the whistle below 2,000-ish rpm so just assumed it was turbo/intercooler-related, and all the Google diagnoses seemed to point to it. But then it seemed odd there were no fault codes or obvious performance issue, or fluid leaks.

I knew you were all dying to know..
