I bought a 2013 Vito 639, the 110cdi model with dpf about 6 weeks ago. It is used for commuting to work and back and the heaviest it is loaded is carrying 3-4 dogs. It has 48.000 miles and fsh. The road I drive is flat and its a 20 mile one way journey. I don't thrash the Vito and very rarely go above 60 mph as its almost all single carriageway. the last couple of miles are dual so its set at 70mph.
Today was the first time since owning the Vito I tired to go above 3000 revs and it wouldn't. I was overtaking 2 tractors with trailers and was just using the revving to get past quicker. I hit the 300 rev mark and it just flattened out, changed up a gear and got to 70 -75 enough to get past safely but wasn't happy with the response.
I decided to try and pull her through the rev range and the gears on the dual carriageway but she would not go past 3100 revs in any gear. The Vito pulled through to 80 mph in 6th but that was it.
Fuel consumption is good, she averages 38-42mpg between fill ups. Hasn't used a drop of oil in 3000 miles, starts at first turn of the key. No warning lights, so I am curious if and what the problem could be?
Any advice or information is appreciated before I contact the garage I bought it from.
I have a 6 month guarantee and a full AA warranty but am not in a position to miss the vehicle for any length of time. I was just wondering if it could be a self fix.
Thank you in advance.
