hi all ,just bought a Vito 2009 the central locking works to unlock all the doors but will only lock the front two but not the rear or sliding doors, pressing the button on the central console doesn't lock them but you can hear them clicking, any ideas? Also radio doesn't power on in case this could be related but haven't checked fuses yet many thanks in advance, mike.

My 'guess' is that one of the rear doors hasn't engaged properly.
My first stop would be to check the rear door for alignment.
I'm having issues with a side door that'll be dealt with when warmer. As I close it I give an extra shove at the back of the door where the mechanism is to 'assist' it.
I spray the locking mechanism with WD40 and when it's dried off after a day or so then I spray with silicon lubricant.

Hi thanks for reply, all doors seem to be aligned properly and have cleaned all the contacts, the door open light is on the dash when all fully closed, and with the central locking opening the doors when locked manually I'm assuming there's no loose wire and that it's working ok...the interior light is also staying on when put into entry/exit position...anyone any thoughts?

Hi,had another go today and tried locking it whilst pushing on the doors....turns out it's the rear doo, that wasn't closing fully,so a quick adjustment and will be sorted, thanks for advice

Glad it was a useful pointer.

I adjusted my tailgate by loosening the side guides screwed into the van, but only enough to allow the guides to be 'aligned' by the closing of the tailgate.
A couple of open / close actions and then I tightened the guides.

Hi all, so I had a problem with random not locking and the lights staying on and doors not closed on the dash. I replaced both contacts on the doors but no different
So I removed the door cards, on the door latches there is a micro switch black and grey wire, I cut and joined together and now it locks every time
Might look at getting new ones but since I have done this it’s working fine! One click to unlock the front second click unlocks the rear doors! Was driving me mad
