vito front suspension knocking

I have a knocking noise coming from the front of my vito 639 and cant seem to find where its coming from any ideas please

Under what circumstances are you getting the knocking?

Have you been underneath with a pry bar and tested the joints/bushes………track rod ends, anti roll bar etc etc?

Thanks for the reply s I have been underneath with a pry bar and cant see anything so ive replaced track rod ends d bushes struts both sides top mounts the only thing I was thinking is there any bushes for the subframe mounts asked most factors they don't stock any but most said they might be dealer only????????

Posted this on another thread which was asking the same question. Had the same problem with both Vianos we had. Never solved the first but with the second it was the front ant-roll bar bushes. They were replaced and the problem solved. Seems this is a general fault with the 639 as there have been several posts on the subject.

Most likely the front strut top mount/bearing if track rod ends, wishbones and bushes are all ok. Plus they are a common fault on the Vitos. Left mine untreated for the last 12 months...well more like 24 and it's taken the lower wishbone with it!

Just replaced the wishbone and ordered all new top mounts and bearings so as soon as the SPAX springs arrive I shall be doing a suspension overhaul!
