Hi.
I have 2006 Vito 115cdi. 2 days ago after starting the van, about 5 mins into the journey i lost all electrics to the dash, no speedo, rev, milage display, indicators etc. Van carried on running fine. On arrival at destination everything seemed ok after stopping and starting up again. Next journey same thing happened again after a few mins. This has now happened on subsequent journeys. The next morning i went to leave for work and when i placed the key in the ignition it does not register at all. The steering lock does not release nor the ignition. There is no click or whirring as per normal when key is placed. I have checked battery voltage and this is reading 12.31 v.

Any thoughts Please.

Oh and only have 1 key.....so cant test a spare.....bugger..

If the EIS is not recognising the key, (no click or whirring) it does indicate your ignition switch has failed. Have you checked all the earth points and battery connections and replaced the key battery ?
Time for a STAR diagnosis to confirm.

Hi. Yes all battery and earth have been checked and battery in fob replaced although as i understand this has nothing to do with the ignition side of it.
