Vito W639 Difflock

Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit a diff-lock system to a W639 Vito 111?
It would save me from having to stop to fit my snow chains to get off muddy fields.
I have access to a reasonably well equipped workshop.

I do not claim any technical knowledge or experience before I am lambasted by someone on this forum.

Have you tried searching in German for locking differential (Sperrdifferenzial I think) and then translating back….Vito has a much bigger following in Europe.

In the blurb they say, Although all-wheel drive does not transform the Vito 4x4 into a cross-country vehicle, it does guarantee maximum tractive power − and therefore safety − when the going gets tricky.

Anything can be done, its down to cost.
Look at ARB dif lock etc
All very expensive.
