Andy’s done a great job there :cool:

His work has always been very thorough and he always makes an extra effort for these older cars as he’s not just a bodyshop guy but a genuine MB enthusiast too.

Insurance agreed valuation came back today. Chuffed as I've spent roughly half that all in (including purchase price and restoration). Classics truly are gifts that keep on giving :)

Final step in removing rear end suspension sag - new OE MB rear spring top rubbers. Note the 3 dots on the MB rubber bushing to identify the maximum thickness.

Fortunately, the springs look to be in good, rust free condition, as are the spring supports. Anyone know what the 2 red and 1 yellow dots stand for?

My dad tought me to drive in 1 of these 1974 240D never forget that car HCH 303N reg not found now 😪
