W123 occasional soft brakes

The plot thickens. I replaced the rear calipers as well and it passed the test BUT the test showed that the left hand side of the vehicle brakes less than the right (on both axles). It also stops ok but is not sharp like a normal car. Any ideas? The pads and calipers are all new and another bleed would not hurt and the master cylinder is also new.

There is no obvious wear and no leaks from any of the flexibles that I can see. Could it be that one is ballooning a bit under pressure? I will do another test tomorrow with an assistant to check this and let you know. If not and after another bleed it is the same is this just a case of a heavy car with small brakes? I have a Landrover Discovery and it stops instantly almost - very sharp

If the brake flexibles are "getting on a bit" they may become porous allowing air or moisture into the brake fluid reducing braking efficiency as the brakes get hot. Difficult to detect by inspection the only sure way is to replace them. Any hydraulic pipe specialist should be able to make up new ones for you if given the old ones as models?

It hasn't been plumbed side to side (rather than either front to rear or diagonally) by any chance?

edit PS. Only front to rear split would offer different pressures - diagonally would be equal.
