W124 230E M102 Sump Removal

Hi all,

I recently smashed a nice hole in the sump of my 230E, have a replacement one and gasket here ready. I've seen stuff online about having the lift the engine a bit in W124s in order to get the oil pan out, but this has been referring to the bigger engines, does anyone know if this is the case with the 230E?

did you get this done? I have the exact same problem. Looking at the clearance I expect the 230 engine will need lifting to clear the cross member
