"This was my father's car which he had owned for a couple of years and I understand it was previously owned by a husband and wife. They had a personalised plate on the vehicle which is why it has registered as four owners but this is in fact only one family ownership plus my father."

I don't see why a private plate change increases the number of owners

I also don't see why a husband and wife counts as two owners

Change of private plate certainly won't add an owner to a vehicle, but I have seen a few cars where the car was initially in the husbands name, and somewhere down the line they transferred it into the wifes name, (for some reason) and thus, added another owner onto the vehicle

Maybe for insurance reasons......

Nice car but,no air con and lose the spoiler(and the grill..)

I might be wrong but I thought early leather seats looked like that. Later ones have the horizontal stitching and MB-Tex has the vertical stitching all the way to the front of the seats.
The reason I say this is I found an early W124 in a scrappy with that style of seats and it was leather.

Stand to be corrected tho

I have been led to understand that the way to tell is the door cards. Leather has a ruched effect, MB-Tex is plain.
