If it's an AMG 300E then doesn't that make it a hammer? In which case it should have the 5.6 litre engine

he's not denying they're not photo's of his car:

...the one pictured is the 6.0 litre version our car looks the same except ours has a chrome grill and a 3 litre engine.
The photo is from the french site , i have no photos but you do need to see and drive the car before you commit to buy it , mine has a chrome grill unlike one on photo

dunno enough about W124's to make any comments on accuracy of other info but i do agree it does sound odd...

£199 insurance ... methinks somebody has been

this 1 was on ebay not too long ago,he's looking for @£3000 i think he said last time,its just up the road from me ,doesn't look too bad,his insurance is low due to the fact i think his wife is/was disabled etc

Not necessarily. Back then AMG were just another tuning company. You could have as much or as little as you wanted. They did body mods and all sorts of engine mods 3.2ltr, 3.4ltr, etc..
I think it looks quite nice.

I've seen this advertised before on e-bay and I can't understand why he can't get some digital photo's uploaded......esepecially as he appears to be in the trade.....so why no photo's?????

Secondly its a standard 300E with an AMG bodykit and it sounds very much like the extact same car I saw down in Dorset last year...even down to the hand controls fitted to the car. However, he claims it comes from Newcastle area.....surely there can't be two exact same cars with hand controls, same colour, wheels, bodykit etc.

The one in Dorset had a very badly blowing head gasket....the back of the block was wet with oil and the expansion tank just had clear water in it....ie its had to be continually topped up.
