Its an import but looks like it has had bodywork modifications following the 500e.

A real beast in disguise!!!

Who developed turbocharger systems for these engines?

It'll be great if you and him could come along one of the 124 meets :thumb:

Yes could suggest that.

Hes based in South Croydon.

Where and when is the next one?

Hi all

Met the owner today - it was too wet to bring it out but got some information on the car.

Turns out it is a 320 with a single turbo. It uses a manual gearbox which has a dogleg first gear.

Power was estimated at 280hp at 0.5 bar - apparently boost can also be adjusted.

Am trying to convince him to come to a meet - and perhaps try to guage interest with magazines to feature it.

May be lucky and get to ride in it - according to the owner it pulls well!

An awesome piece of machinery.

It is an official Lotec turbocharger conversion.

I am sure 350bhp is an understated estimate of its power.

600bhp? Shouldn't the kit also include new bottom end bearings/stuff to cope with the updated power?

This is a beautiful car and I would guess quite rare too with the Getrag manual gearbox. Just my type of W124 and what I'm looking for. Although I would like a coupe.

Very, very nice car. Not many Mercs can keep up with the W124 body style. So classy, slick and not overdone whatsoever. Timeless.

Hi everybody, just to add it is my car and I could present more info. It is original Lotec conversion done 1994 on W124 320E sport with original order dog leg 5 speed. AMG official body conversion as 500E and AMMG AERO II wheels 1994. Lotec use Garrett single turbo and his own ECU and electronics and show that pass German TUV and approved the conversation at 1994 340 bhp with 0.5 bar set. Kurt Lotterschmid owner of Lotec GMBH confirm that with 0.8 bar set could be 450bhp. Very fast car and superb to drive with manual gear box and AMG configuration.

Looks very nice, how would it compare to a TT car in power terms...?
