W124 CE black leather interior...

Well I ended up winning the auction :bannana:
Although there wasn't exactly tough competition.

Turns out that the interior is being stored just up the road from me, literally a 10min walk.

I'm due to collect it tomorrow.

Youll need a van - trust me.

If you want help fitting, let me know.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind.
Fortunately its literally a couple of minutes away by car, so if I need to make a few trips its not an issue.

Also my interior is currently black cloth. So I will only really be using the door cards and seats . . I think the rest will go on back on ebay or to anyone on the forum that may be on the lookout for spares.

The only downside is that there are no rear headrests on the auction, which means I''m going to have to get my current ones reupholstered.

And thanks for the offer of help Spike. If I do run into any problems I know who to call! :)

You'll never get the front seats in your car ... not even one at a time unless you remove your front passenger seat and take one at a time.

I have a friend coming along with a hatchback . . and I was also thinking of pulling out the passenger seat and rear seats before I go just so I make plenty of space . . with it all being so close to my place, doing a couple of trips won't be a problem.

Spike (or anyone else knowledgable regarding the CE) I have to take you up on your offer of help in installing my new interior.
In fact its help getting the old interior out that I need!

Was just trying to take out the front passenger seat and disconnected the electrical connection. but could not see how to disconnect the hydraulic connection. Nothing seemed to come apart easily.

Any guidance you can give me on this would be greatly valued!

Apologies if this is now posted in the wrong section

I assume you mean the feed from the vacuum pump for the seat release...

IIRC I just unplugged the pipe - it was tight but after a little persuasion it undid. Check under your new seats to see how it goes, it'll be easier to see.

***Edit*** Are your current seats electricly operated? Just wondering as mine arnt and I might be interested in using the motors and stuff for an upgrade.

Thanks. I'll check the new seats to see how it connects.

Neither the new or old seats are electric. However the new ones have the orthopedic option on the drivers seat, although that ends up on the passenger side due to the interior being from a LHD car.
