£7,995 in Bristol

Nice but wrong colour inside and wrong colour interior for me

and worse of all no AMG kit

Description

Black metallic with light grey leather, air conditioning, electric sunroof, electric orthopedic heated seats, electric rear blind, cruise control, traction control, kenwood stereo with cd stacker, AMG alloys, very rare right hand drive AMG version of the already fantastic E-class coupe, 118,000 miles with a total mercedes-benz service history, exeptional condition future classic.

That one has been for sale on Autotrader, on and off, for a VERY long time.
It's always been around that price, too, so a deal to be done, I should think!

I like it, but would have to be black on black for me...

blue-black and grey 2 tone looks rather good on a CE imho, especially with an orion grey interior.. not sure if thats blue black or just black though.

looks nice apart from the stained carpets.

I like it, drive near it on my way home from work (if only I had an excuse).

it has electric rear blinds, thats rare

but its a bit pointless for me to buy an amg yet not have the amg bits

its personal choice but annoying

The car has the basics essentials that make it valuable, i.e. is a e36.

The AMG kit is cheap and easy to acquire second hand.

Price can probably be haggled down a couple of grand, and spend about 1000 or spent to acquire the AMG kit, paint and fit.

I like it without the AMG kit, makes it a true sleeper!
Also prefer the grey interior to something black, makes it a bit less dull inside. Everyone has different tastes, but to me that car has one of the best colour combination's I've seen on a W124

Are W124 E36 AMG appreciating classic cars?

I only ask as W208 CLK55 AMGs can be had for £9k.

Went to see it, quite unloved, poor respray, quite rusty on doors rear quater etc, expensive sounding rumble/rattle from top of engine, hey ho

Can you describe the rattle? Is it like a tappet ticking noise?

No, it was a noise I have heard before on my c36 and if it was the same prob it needed something on the variable valve timing replaced

Ive got a similar noise on mine, any idea what is was that you replaced?

Hi, I really cant remember what it was called, however, it was someting on the front of one of the camshafts that altered it's profile, no idea what it was called i am afraid, but it cost about £800.
