How about the best part of £50K for a W124 E36 cabriolet?

Fair enough, it only has 28K miles and long term ownership, but that's a very strong asking price.

I have a W124 E36 saloon - am I now rich?

I don't think the AMG 124s have aged very well (sorry!), unlike the AMG 129s. The 129s also have the performance to justify the body kit, which I think now looks a bit cumbersome on the 124, but that's just my taste.

I was looking for a 124 cab 11 years ago, and out of frustration at not being able to find the right one, I looked at a lovely, low owner E36 coupé, at £8995, which I should have bought, but I held out for an E320 cab, as I was underwhelmed by its performance. The E36 cab is probably the holy grail of 124s, after the Hammers, so maybe their time is coming?

Whilst it's a well specced car, there is no mention of a difficult to find wind deflector, and for the money, I'd want the hardtop too.

I think they are over optimistic - that car is worth much less than that asking price.

The last few E36's that have come on have been wildly priced to say the least.

The guy must think he's in with a chance though.
