Looking at the E500 example in the advert they show a similar car *which fetched £46,890 indicating a 51 % increase on top of their estimated range price they quote for this example of £22,000 - 31,000. pro rata a 50% price increase on the £75,000 - 110,000 EVO would take it to around the £165,000 mark. I guess there are valuation prices and auction prices. The EVO might go for a price in the valuation range but if the bidding was competitive it might go for a lot more.:dk:
ps auctioneers will always value on the conservative side--that way they don't give the seller false expectations but with the added bonus also of perhaps attracting more potential bidders to ramp up the price and their commission also.

An auction estimate means nothing and has no link to any reserve that may be attached to an item for sale. Auctioneers will often throw in a low "estimate" simply to draw in interested parties before bidding has started.

On a different note, if I had spent the sort of sums being mentioned I would find sitting in the bland interior of the 190 to be a very underwhelming experience irrespective of how the car drove.

If you’d spent anything like the money that EVO’s go for, you wouldn’t be sitting in it that often.
It will be sitting in a garage with a sheet over it.
