Hi, Am I right in thinking that there is no difference between pre and post facelift front wings for a W124?
Thx.

info

Tintin this is interesting to find out as i have thought about this as well as you have .As i have been looking for wings for my car its a W124 .I did locate 2 brand new old stock original MB wings. But to much for me so looking for a pair of used. But the breaker thats got them said he had broke 40 - W124 and all the wings were rusty. The patern parts are not a very good fit so i have been told. I have 2 in the garage that came off our type cars but are not original nice and no rust, with green paint .

i do not think so as the indiactors fit in the same way lights on facelift changed towards the grill still the same as even light interchangable although look funny on none facelift fitting under bonnet of a facelift although have seen it working

Not entirely certain but recently had a new genuine wing fitted to my post facelift. The bodyshop thought they were all the same but MB said not. Something to do with the side indicator repeater he was told.

Up to about '88 there were no side repeater lights for the indicators fitted (so no hole), post facelift W124 with OM606 has an inlet duct on the right wing iirc

Thanks, I'm as much concerned about the difference in the trim that fits low down to the rear of the road wheel. Later cars have 'cladding' which is not present on the early cars.

The post-facelift cladding uses the same mountings as the pre-facelift trim pieces iirc the wings are interchangeable apart from the issues mentioned previously.

Thanks chaps.
