I have a problem with my indicators. Sometimes they stop working altogether and I'm not sure why. Occasionally slamming the drivers door will get them working again along with turning the heater down.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

Try turning the hazard warning switch on and off a few times and see if that cures it.

edit: OR (just remembered) check the fuse. Sometimes it corrodes, and breaks in the middle.

I've tried the hazard switch and that doesn't work either. They flash ok when I plip the alarm though.

Mine was doing the same, it turned out to be the relay which is under the fuse box to the rear of the fuses, you have to unscrew the whole thing to get to it.
If you have a friend with the same car try swapping the relays and see if this does the trick.

Hmmm... Tapping the relay box seems to get them working again so I think a trip to the solderers is called for.

Would spraying the inside of the relay box with WD-40 do any harm?

Don’t put WD40 on it , just get it soldered, it will probably be in good condition apart from a broken connection/s, an experienced person will know what needs to be done.
