They won't answer emails as to its condition, and won't do it over the phone, despite giving no number anyway.

300 limo's not common, more usually 260's i find.

I think the seller has been caught out before and is more or less saying, dont read into anything i say about the car, just come and look at it before bidding. Which to be fair is what we all should do. Not always possible though i know.
Did the 124 have the deep mouldings in 1988?? It does look nice. I have threatened to get a limo manys a time instead of 7 seat E Class to ferry our kids about but meet with opposition from the "current" Mrs 230K. Never seem to be diesels though.

I wouldn't trust a trade seller who puts statements such as 'The vehicle is to be sold with no warranty implied or given.' as that reads to me that all isn't well.

surely if he's a trader it doesn't matter what he says, there has to be a warranty if he's selling to a private buyer
