Hi Forumers,

I own a 94 UK spec W124 and the third brake light has now turned into crispy cornflakes. I know the part is now NLA all over the world and reproduction ones sold at a very high price are not complete (no lens/rubber/stairs). Does Anyone have spares or new old stock they wish to sell? Alternatively what have you guys used to replace your crispy 3rd brake light.

Neilrr yes mate that is important This is what i say about the profile it is needed to help member help the poster . I searched saloon could be an estate .

As far as I know no UK 124s had a third brake light. There was a kit for the estate but cant remember if it was genuine MB or not. For saloons or coupes there were various aftermarket lights. I fitted a Hella one to my E28 saloon back in 1985.

I have one, it's not fitted and I've no idea which model it came from but the part number is 1248200182. I don't know if that helps identify on which model it was used ?

Well the poster has one now so how did that come about ?... if you say they are not fitted to any UK w124

They were offered on US models (perhaps even standard at some point) so I suspect that may be the source

As for the W124 over here i can not see any place to mount the third light .Reason is the first aid box is in the centre of the parcel shelf .
