Does it cater for rear speakers in the parcel shelf of a '90 300CE ?

Pretty sure the answer to that is no unless rear speakers were fitted from new [ very unlikely ]. There are speaker cut outs in the rear parcel shelf [ weird size for todays kit] and covers but no built in wiring as standard which you just " connect up " afaik

ps its a relatively easy job to run extra wiring to the rear- under the carpet or under the sill covers. You can get access to luggage compartment past the fuel tank by removing the rear seat squabs/backs on one side
