w168 OSR door PIN stays down??

Hi Peeps,

Our 2004 fantastic little A class has finally gone wrong,

I unlocked the car whilst our Pain in the ass boy was tugging on the handle to get in, The times ive told him not to do that Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway the Door pin Stays down locked or unlocked.

The door still locks and unlocks inside and outside, Does anyone know whats happened?

I have replaced the NSR door lock as similar thing happened before but that didn't lock at all as the mech had broken.

Any Advise much appreciated.

Never had that problem, so no idea really, but perhaps try to engage / disengage the child lock a few times, to see if that helps?

The lock pin is cable operated on the rear doors. It sounds like the cable has snapped, most probably where it enters the latch mechanism.
