Hello,
As a new owner of a W177 fitted with the standard LED lights, I have to admit that the lighting distance is not satisfying. I have just been to a garage to adjust the LED a bit higher, to the maximum set to meet the MOT regulations, and I’m about to have a drive tonight.

The mechanic told me that this is how newer car with LED and projectors operate, focusing their beam compared to the halogen headlights.
My question is, how can I improve the lights even further, if this is possible?

I also have a W177 with the standard LED headlamps and find the range on dipped beam pretty poor. One of the issues that these lamps create with their intense white light and very sharp cutoff is that they can be very distracting for oncoming drivers if you’re driving over bumps, so I can understand them being set lower than we would like as a driver of the car.

Do let us know if you think the adjustment has made a worthwhile improvement to dipped beam range.
