Hello,
I have a 2006 w203 avangarde amg sport equipment(larger brakes, wheels,exhaust...)
sitting on Adharaz
7,5j 225/45/17 ET36 front and
8,5j 245/40/17 ET34 in the back.
I want to buy a winter set 16" but don't know which sizes are allowed for my model. Can anyone tell me the allowed sizes
Current wheels:

Thank you

Welcome to the Forum.

Will 16 inch wheels clear your brake calipers / discs? Check your handbook, the list of approved wheel and tyre sizes should be there.

Also be aware that your 203 uses 12mm bolts - so you can fit 204 wheels with appropriate crossover bolts from alloywheelsdirect.net as 204's use 14mm bolts.

1) My 2006 W203 (C180K Classic) came with these wheels: 7J x 16 ET31 205/55 R16.

MB P/N A203 401 30 02 or MB Retails P/N B6 647 07 66

So this size of wheels and tyres will not cause any issues with clearance.

2) The original wheel bolts for my car were MB P/N A 000 990 48 07 or MB Retail P/N B 66 47 0164.

If you look-up the Febi cross-reference you can see the exact dimensions:

If you look at Alloy Wheels Direct listing for W203 16 inch wheels, it states in the individual wheel's specification page whether it is suitable for cars with sport options 949/950. E.g Cygnus is marked not suitable, but Chertan has no such restriction.

Guess the distinction may be the front wheel ET value, Cygnus has 37, Cheratn 31.

My 2005 W203 has Adharaz wheels and the Sport Pack. The calipers are too big for 16" wheels so you will need to go 7.5J 225/45 17s all round which is what I do with my winter tyres and wheels. This is what the manufacturer recommends so should not be a problem with insurance.
