So, the air con stopped working.
Pressed the A/C button and the light flashes twice and then goes off. (2013 car so LED is lit for A/C on).
I took it to be re gassed and it was completely empty.
It held a vacuum and filled OK but when I switched it on even after a few minutes there was no cold air.
The Mechanic is telling me that it is a compressor fault because, at it is driven continuously by the belt, there is an internal clutch which fails.
As he still hasn't found out where all the original gas went, so there may be a leak somewhere, he de-gassed it.
So to get it fixed will be about £900 including parts labour and A/C gas.
Anybody else had this problem?
