W204 C220 fan running constantly

The cooling fan on my 2014 C220 is running constantly, checked the code with MB 2 scanner and it indicates air con pressure sensor is open circuit, my question is there a way of testing this sensor to check if its a sensor or wiring fault? I tried unplugging the sensor but the fan still stays on.
Should the fan stop when the sensor is disconnected?
Any help appreciated thanks in advance

open circuit = disconnected --> no difference
Can you see live data what sensor reading is? Probably something crazy as it should when sensor is not there.. Of course it can be wire fault or sensor fault.

Its the sensor faulty. Very common issue.

Can you not just bridge out the plug to close the circuit and see if the fan stops ?
