W204 Grill for C220 CDI

Hey i recently bought a Mercedes C220 CDI 2007 W204, and i don't know why, but it looks odd from the front, and i believe the grille is not genuine from factory, any help on if it is very noticeable or not, and is it worth buying a new grill? I've attached a picture of the car to see what your thoughts are on it.

No it's not a standard grille from that year of car, the single bar grilles were on later models. Some folk have changed grilles as they like the look, personal choice, but I doubt if I would go to the expense of changing it if it was me, though of course it is personal choice.

But from your opinion does the grille fit the car? and does it look fine with it?

I think you should get an original grill on it
I don’t think it suits your car

I’ve never been a fan of those grills on W204’s . Definitely go back to original

Either the original sport grille, or the elegance grille, depending on your preference. Both trims were available, mine's an elegance, so has no big star in the middle, it's just a big chrome grille and has the star emblem stuck out of the bonnet, (like S Class). The sport grille has no star stuck up.

I agree it looks odd and I think you should revert to factory trim, whichever you prefer.

Fitted a similar one to my last car.

I quite liked it!

Couldn’t be bothered fitting the old one back on when I traded it so left it in the boot.

Dealer could be bothered either!

^ Well that's a facelift, so it suits it better. Looks daft on a pre-facelift IMO.
