Hi got a 2009 merc w204 , heater blower speed works from min to max , hot and cold and to all vent directions work but just got minimum air through the vents takes over a hour to defrost the car , any ideas before I start taking the dash apart .
Thanks

Hello and welcome .

Have you done the HVAC 're set' ? I can't remember the full details , but on my W203 C class you hold two of the buttons on the control unit down for a while and the whole thing tries to 'home' the actuators in the system. Either Google it , read the manual ( NEVER !!) or someone with a 204 will be along soon.

Any 'Clicking' noises from behind the dash when you turn the ignition on. ?

Hi thanks , there is no clicking noises just the blend doors moving , tried a reset but no lights come up or flash so I don’t know if I am doing the wrong buttons and I have disconnected the battery to see if that would do anything but still the same

A half decent scan tool can interrogate the flap motors to see if they are sticking/sticky ie: slow to move and struggling a bit. As we have different HVAC controls it's best to wait until one of us on here comes up with the way to do the DIY re set on a W204.

Have you tried cleaning/replacing the cabin filter?

Hi ted I ripped all the filter out of the casing so it wouldn’t be any obstructions

Yeah, that’s just what I would have done just to test it.
Leaves blocking the air intake? (Desperate measures!)
