hi all,

myself has bought a 205 and it does not come with a spare tyre so i am thinking of buying one that fits in the boot and it seems there is not enough space. did anyone get one that fit in the boot underneath the carpet?

If the car is a CDi, then even a space-saver spare won't fit due to the Blutec tank fitted below the floor, but there has been a suggestion that a collapsible one might (No it's not a late April Fool!!). I'm not sure about the C200 petrol though which doesn't have that tank. Alternatively if your wife doesn't use the entire boot space, why not buy a space-saver and keep it on the floor of the boot? You can actually buy a kit that includes a jack and wheel-brace for about £120.

That's a sensible suggestion.
I will take a look in to it and report back.

just wondering if anyone had any headway on this I recently bought a W205 2018 and am wondering if there was any aftermarket spare wheels that could fit under the boot carpet?

I had a c220 cdi and bought a spacesaver wheel, had to live on boot floor as no space under boot floor, doubt a collapsible spare would fit under either.

I bought mine from: www.thewheelshop.co.uk. You can buy a kit that includes a wheel brace and jack as well as a wheel specified for your car. Not sure of current prices but I would expect £150 for the kit.

I went through this merc say they don't do one but others do fit, If you look on the spare wheel web sites they say an inch difference in wheel size is ok. But my wheels are 225 45 18 front 245 40 18 rear as mine is the W205 amg line.. The spare is off a model W207 or W212 - RA Mercedes part no/ 2074000102 tyre size 135 80 17. There may be someone who has another tyre size thats ok as well. i've tried this on the front and back and it clears everything fine, look on ebay i paid £40 delivered ( now word of warning don't start jumping up and down like i did as there is not much tread, these tyres come with 3mm as new.) Yes i did that to who i bought it from and they kindly pointed that out to me, Eeek. So if you have 17" or 18" should be fine for you. And you want a jack someone will put up a number for that a few fit.
