Hi all, I am new to Mercedes so be gentle. I picked up my new to me 2017 C43 last week and noticed yesterday that there was a yellow warning on the dash with a battery symbol telling me to start the car. Didn't think too much of it because I work away during the week so I only get to drive it at the weekend so assumed the battery was low. When driving it yesterday the engine management light has now come on. No issues with the operation of the car, runs and idles well. I scanned it using an Autel AP200 and the only errors it picked up was an issue with the drivers wing mirror and a problem with the stereo (previous owner had installed an aftermarket android screen)
I have disconnected the battery for a few seconds to see if that would clear it but no luck. Also checked my fuel cap and that seems OK. Could a low/poor battery cause the engine light to come on with no stored error codes? The battery does look pretty new though.
