W205 Engine Check Light, Rough Running

I have a 2015 C Class C220d Sport. A recurrent problem is that after 30/40 mins normal driving, the engine check light will come on and the engine will run roughly. Also, the auto gearbox will not change up and I have to use the paddles to change up as far as 4th gear only. It will not shift up higher. The car has been to the Merc main dealer twice for a fortnight each time and a replacement fuel injector on one visit hasn’t solved the issue. Any thoughts?

I am afraid that you'll need to get the car scanned for fault codes by a specialist who has MB STAR, or alternatively buy an iCarsoft MB v2.0 scanner. If you post the fault codes on here, someone will be able to advice.

On another note, was your car subject to emissions software update recall? If so, has the software update been applied yet? The reason for asking is that some members reported experiencing issues after the software update has been applied (but others had no issues, so it seems to be a bit of pot luck).
