Guys

Recently purchased a C200 AMG W205 2014 from a Merc dealer. OMG the rattles are appearing by the day from the dash and interior. Bizarre how on the test drive nothing could be heard. Lots of stuff on the net about centre console and panoramic roof and speaker rattles. Car is fully loaded with Burm sound and panoramic roof. Major rattle from comes from centre console as u can touch any part of it wih pressure and it stops. Only conclusion can be the double sided tape theory but don't fancy the taking apart of the console. Anyone else solved these seemingly common issues easily, speaker in drivers door as annoying metallic rattle too when speaking on phone thru the system , again seems a common fault to do with the mounting of the speaker. I'm sure Merc used car warranty don't cover these minor issues so any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Pete

Should be covered by the warranty, have you spoken to the dealer?

Not as yet as not sure used warranty on a 3 year old car would cover interior rattles. I'll give em a call and see what there response is.Have an issue with wind noise above 70 on the drivers window , another common fault so I hear but I know the answer to that one from the dealer , they cant replicate the fault because its above the speed limit.

Cheers

If your car is not factory limited to 70mph you can demand that you take the technician for a ride and point to the problem. I don't think you can get in a trouble driving 75mph on motorway these days. As KillerHertz said I also think rattles should be covered by the warranty.

I have the wind noise trouble too. I've told them it's there. I've told them it's a recognised problem by MB, but they refuse to do anything about it until they've heard it themselves. They even suggested I try and record it!! o_O
