This is a plug-and-play W205 contact plate and button set that has been professionally modified with a custom ECU to connect to the R230SL clockspring. I had this made by a company in Russia and used it in my SL55 since 2020. See here:
All you need is a W205 steering wheel and airbag, swap the buttons and contact plate out with this set and you're good to go.
Note the buttons have the silver covers fitted, these can be removed easily.
Due to the Ukraine situation, these are basically impossible to obtain now, and equally as difficult beforehand due to shipping and customs in Russia. There is one other vendor in Europe who offers something similar and charges €1K...
