W205 steering wheel upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their steering wheel to a newer style from a 2014 w205? Say 2018/19 multifunction version with the small touch pads..

I’m thinking of doing this. Lots of videos online Does anyone know if it’s possible to change the colum and clock springs so the cruse controls will work on the wheel?

I've found out cruise control won't work via the wheel only the stalk as normal.. and also the facelift wheel will need a module which is very expensive compared to the actual steering wheel itself.. and of course new airbag will be needed for that facelift wheel if it doesn't come with one which is another expense!

I may just get my sport wheel re trimmed and reshaped..
