This has become increasingly difficult to move the gear selector lever away from the "P" position while pressing the brake pedal. There is a manual release through a flap on the selector panel which I have used and this sort of works but with also with increasing difficulty. I've been told this is a common problem caused by a switch at the brake pedal. Would that be the brake light switch or something else? Is it easily available, and simple to fit? Any ideas welcome.
