W210 optimum economy

Hi all, just bought a w210 e200 for a quick runaround while i restore my w124
It has the m111.942 engine.

Quick question, what speed does the car operate most eco at for fuel on the motorway? Is it the standard like 55mph or is it different on this car?

It will be the slowest speed the engine can maintain top gear and still pull without struggling.

There is no best speed for fuel economy, the faster you go the more fuel you use. You have to choose between getting there more quickly or more cheaply.
