w210 side repeater - removal

Hi Can anyone tell me how to remove a side repeater from a 1998 W210?

Hi

It is either push it forward or back and it then pulls out. Do not be too rough with them they become brittle with age. (not that 98 is old)

I feel so stupid now. What I didn't say in my original post is that I tried for half an hour, even trying to look from the inside, behind the wheel. I tried twisting it, pulling it & prizing it off. And all it needed was a little push forwards and hey presto..................it was done.

yes I agree. I have just completed the blinking/folding mirror mod, and for the time being I'm leaving the side repeaters in place, I don't think it looks too bad(IMHO).

The side repeater are about the cheapest new bits you can buy for your car from MB, I knocked one of mine whilst washing the car and as 230k says the lugs are brittle so I was suprised to be charged only about £2.50 for a new one!!!

Mind you it makes a big diff' showing how dull the original one was.
