W211 - 7G oil changes

The service book says the transmission oil shoule be changed every 36K miles, and indeed it had been done once at the correct time, but I'm now getting to 85K miles (on a 2008 car).

How important is it to get it done again - had a price from a maine dealer (HILARIOUS!) and one from a local Indy, and even that was many hundreds. It seems very smooth right now and gives no problems.....

That seems expensive so I would shop around further before deciding. It’s not a ticking time bomb, but I would get it done relatively soon if I were you,.
