ive looked all over the net for the part, found a couple of different brands but with no less cost, cheapset i found is 120 sterling, buer make, seems fairly dear for what it is & a lot of the other merc's have a cheaper unit. & even a good 2nd hand unit isn't worth the cost as you 'd never no if it works or for how long.
if you come across a decent price could you give us shout please...
any 1 of you know if these units can be repaired.?
i had a e39 5 serise bmw & the lcm (light control module) failed & i found a place cant remember where now (in the uk) & i sent it over to them, they tested it then re-soldered a new chip or what ever they did & worked fine for the length i had the car 6 - 7 yr after the return of the repaired unit.
but im thinking if a electrical module like above could be fixed then why not a glow plug module like the 1 have. If i remember the lcm cost me 60 sterling to be fixed (& a new 1 was about 150 sterling +).
