W211 E280CDi kangarooing

I know the OM642 doesn't have the same fame as the 606 or the straight 6 before it but what an engine when it's all good to go.

Not sure what mb did different to my glc350 , but it's a beast in comparison to my e350 I just sold. Sports + mode is simply nuts.

I had two W210 E300TDs .... OM606 engine
Both of them great cars and mile-eaters.
The W211 E280cdi OM642 is another awesome engine.
It's now on just-over 200,000 miles and goes as well as the day I bought it on 110,000 miles.
I could complain about one or two quirky things about both engines.
BUT - Overall they have been greater performers and very reliable.
