Hello everyone,
I have some A/C issues that ssome of your valuable advice can help me.
Well, since this E55 mostly stays in garage last summer I've heard very loud noise form AC compressor (thought it was bearing) but when I have turned off the AC noise stopped. Then this summer came I wanted to start it but it didn't start. Went to mechanic and he said it is the compressor 100% (most likely it was). We agreed that I will change the compressor since he is older man and he will then vacuum the system and put the new oil and R134a gas.
Now I have new compressor, new gas holding the pressure so there is no leaks but when I start AC all I can feel is warm-ish air on driver side and little colder air on passanger side but not cold. Now he connected some universal diagnostic system and couldn't read any faults. In couple of days I will go to the mechanic that has STAR diag so maybe I will have more information.
Is it possible that hidden menu has some missconfiguration since I know that this mechanic was play around with it and he had no clue what it means...?
Can anyone give me any pinpoints or what would you do in my place as action plan not to spend thousands of euros...
