W212 2010 E Class 250d Cold stall on start up

Hi there, I'm new to this group as I have just purchased a 2010 250d E Class estate.

The car drove and started fine when I first drove it but next morning when it was cold it would start in park but when I move it to d or r it shudders then stalls.

This also happens when I pull up to stop or junction.

The problem does not exist when the engine has been warmed up and drives abs fine.

Anyone on here know of or have similar issues?

Apparently its an Issue with the torque convertor I bought a 2008 E 220 cdi. with this problem the solution apart from major surgery is to run the engine for a min or two before putting into drive /reverse once started for the day problem does not re occur until the next morning ..!

Hello! I have the same exact problem, with same car model. Even mechanics cant find the solution. Did you find out what it was?
