Might be able to haggle on this? It's been sitting around for the last year, nice looking weekend car and to attend some car shows in 🙂

AMGMeister has the same colour

Very nice......They seem to get difficult to sell at that age and mileage as there are a few long term ones around. It's falls into the budget figure of lots off people.....but they can't afford group 46 insurance, 18 mpg and nearly £700 a year road tax. The enthusiasts that want a car like that and can afford to run it don't want to buy a 112,000 mile car that we will be at 150,000 in three of four years time and virtually unsellable. If it was a pre facelift M157 and had lighter leather I might have had a look....but then if it was it would be 20k! The carbon wrap over the black ash would have to go too!! It looks great though and I love that grey....it holds a really good shine with work.

It's a harmless thing but surely the price is wrong? Even if there aren't gremlins lurking in it's history.

At £16k aren't there better AMG's around?

At 16k that's the cheapest of its kind on AT at the moment...but far from the best value IMO. I've not looked into the details but this is just up the road from me....only 2k more....not much more than a third the miles and light interior......AND an M157!...way more appeal to me.

EDIT....Cat D in 2014....a pity but that's only cosmetic damage with high repair cost type write off...so not a deal breaker for many......

I must not go and look at it....I must not go and look at it....retirement comes first...retirement comes first!!

Do you still plan to buy one?

No....as said in another thread....I've decided to retire a bit early....that has two affects....firstly i will be doing more miles in my own car (rather than mostly company vehicles like now)....so the running costs will be a bit a of a stretch until I know exactly what i have to live on....and if I work part time somewhere. Secondly I've have been tempted away by the curvy lines of a CLS 218!!!....so most likely its a CLS 350 or 400 petrol.....although I also quite fancy the F10 BMW 5 series with a 6 pot of some sort. Decisions decisions. Id really love an E63 212.......but head over heart......maybe. :)

Not advertised as catD, agree walk away. Looked like an unmolested example, if I were selling, I would declare this in description as an honest broker 🙂

I think Alfa is referring to the black one in the link he posted, which is advertised as Cat D, rather than the silver one referred to by by the OP?

Thanks @ Jukie. Correct, the one i was referring to is this one, it's the same colour as in the AMGMeister video. If it's not cat d, then I think if the price could be haggled, would make a nice weekend car, it looks unmolested example 🙂Screenshot_20230910_113508_Auto Trader.jpg

The 59 plate car was advertised in February 2023 on the sae site for 14,750 and was sold for probably less. If interested, it would be good idea to check why the owner is selling it so soon.
