W212 folding seats

Do the seats fold completely flat in the 212 same as the 211? The seat base looks like it’s all one piece whereas my 320cdj has a 70:30 split base and can be removed. Thanks

The seat base doesn't move in the W212 but the seat backs do go down practically flush with it.

Not exactly an estate car but you can get lots of stuff in there. :)

Thanks, I’m talking the estate not saloon. Just in case you mean the saloon.

Maybe it depends on the model as to which upholstery it has? Mine don’t fold anywhere near flat unless there’s a real load put on them. Cheapskate design imho, along the same lines as the missing double visor which was so good on the 211.

Whaaaat no double visor what the hell. I love that feature. Seats don’t sound too bad. Probably less hassle. Oh well got to move onwards and upwards. Thx

My mate didn't have them on his 212 either (sjmaxwell) but he retro fitted them I seem to remember.

It's really easy to drop them - just two levers to tug either side of the tailgate (one for each side).

They don't go as flat as the 211 ones unless you put some load on them.

If you've got leccie seats they move forward at the same time for some reason which I don't understand. It's a bit irritating as you have to put them back. Luckily mine are memory ones.

Overall. though, it's all still good.

PS - FWIW I'm pretty sure mine still has the double visors.

Picked up my 350cdi estate earlier. No double sun visor but what the heck!! Omg what an amazing car. The refinement is just fantastic. The power delivery of that 265hp is phenomenal!
