W212 retrofit reversing camera

I have the new screen in my car also......... As said the installation is a bit tricky and you will find it difficult to tuck the harness out the way but once installed they are a good bit of kit. I installed a WIFI dongle in mine for YouTube and everything else as it was better than having your phone connected all the time.

I have also ordered a split Facra cable for my install which should eliminate the module that comes with the kit, nice to see more members are doing this upgrade.

A split fakra for what Ken? If it's for the GPS then just be aware that splitting the signal makes Xentry read a fault to earth on the head unit (it works fine and isn't detrimental at all but does show a fault).

I have read on another site they had problems receiving a good signal with the supplied GPS dongle unless it was fitted right at the top of the windscreen and the best solution was the split Facra, I will see how long the lead is on the kit item? many years ago I fitted a satnav unit to my W204 and the Facra worked fine just tucked up behind the dash, thanks for your input, as the saying goes...every little helps.

The GPS dongle will not work inside the dash as I tried it........ moved it onto the top of the dash and it works fine. I opted for internet dab as the stick on arial is utter rubbish and I paid a lot of money for it.
