Ever since Ive had my S212 I'd always wondered what was causing a noise in the interior when going around corners and sometime accelerating and braking. I'd had passengers try to look for it whilst driving, 'd had the rear seats out, the centre console apart but no joy. The other week I thought I'd give the interior a proper clean and I unbolted the front seats to get better access. That gave me clearer access to the air vent under the drivers seat and when i put a fine vaccum cleaner nozzle into it was surprised to see it pulled out a peanut in it's shell. The thing had been in there all the time, rolling about whilst the car moved.
It's great to have the noise gone but it did surprise me the underseat vents werent made with some sort of grating or mesh cover to prevent things falling into them.
